Technically wouldn't you really only notice a difference when the actual clutch is disengaged and the fan is running???

I am guessing in a texas summer the fans would run constantly?

You notice a difference from less drag on the belt. It should give you the same gains as from an underdrive pulley, less strain on the engine= better throttle responce.

With my LS1 in 110* weather, the fans would only turn on when i was stopped, they'd shut off once i got going. However that's probably because F-bodies can't "breathe" on their own once stopped.

Same question here, and also, are LS1 fans enough to cool my 5.3?
Maybe someone has pics of their LS1 fans installed? Thanks
