Default Are e-fans worth it?

I'm tossing around the idea of adding the gm fans. I've got an LM7 w/the factory tow package, but I still assume I've got to swap out the radiator correct? How about the Nelson harness for it, it isn't as simple as plug-n-play is it? I've got to splice it into the electrical system right, which could f-up my warranty if I screw it up. I guess it all comes down to this: Is the gain in performance and mpg worth the trouble of buying all the goodies and installing them?

The nelson harness is very easy to install. The only wiring splicing it takes it inserting one pin into a PCM connector. It took me about a half hour to do after I stopped being stupid and looking in the wrong place... lol It installs very neat and clean and looks close to factory in my opinion.

I did notice a SOTP gain even with the RADIX!

While I did remove mine due to Radix/Cam/E-fan conflict... I still have the harness and intend to go back to E-fans with the new turbo after it is installed.

You will also need to have the PCM programmed to turn the fans on.

there are much cheaper ways to go about adding an E-fan.

I spent under $150 for everything to do mine.

e-fan from ls1 f-body
an adjustable thermostat
a 30 amp circuit breaker
some wiring & connectors

PM if you want a set of used '05 E-fans w/Nelson harness.

I documented a 7% increase in HP on a dyno before and after installation on the same day. That was on my 04 LM7 w/Whipple. Instead of preaching HP/TQ numbers, it quantified to a 7% increase at the rear wheels-period.

Easy mod and well worth doing.
