Question e-fans

I just installed some ls1 fans, 160 stat, and nelson pcm... i started the engine up and let it idle for about 15 minutes and then took it for a 5 minute spin around the block and left it idling and checked to see if the fans were on but they arent? how often are they suppose to come on?
