Default E-fan questions

What gains do you see from them? MPG increase? Reduction in ET? Are they hard to wire up? I'm wanting to buy some.

try the search. LOTS of info there. Not great gains, better throttle response, maybe gain 1-2 mpg.

you aren't gonna feel the power flowing freely with them, but they do help the throttle response a bit. mileage will increase by a few. they are worth doing tho. but when you do it. do it with they underdrive pulley. both make a nice noticable diff

not much and not much. ;] i have the fal 282's they don't make that big of a difference and they are expensive. if you want to do it get some ls1 fans and a dcc controller. cheaper better bang for the buck. e

I've got the smaller 35A DCC unit, and it handles the fans just fine... Granted I'm in the North East, and while I do see 95+ degree days, they're rather few and far between compared to the southern guys.

Brian at DCC recommended the 35A to me after I showed him the specs on the F-a-L truck fans. You can go with the bigger controller if you want the added comfort.

Oh yeah.. gains...

I installed my efans and did my first part-throttle tune with HP Tuners during the same weekend. I went up a max of 3mpg. I'm averaging 2mpg from those two right now.

To me, the truck revs out much more freely and has better throttle responce. It might be more noticeable because I have 4.10's and the engine winds out faster than a low geared truck.
