Default Dynomax 17224 on dads 2011 6.0L 2500HD

Threw a new 3.5" dynomax ultraflow muffler on my dads rig yesterday, overall very impressed with the quality/sound for the money, 60 and change on amazon. Loud when your on it and barely louder than stock while cruising, almost no interior noise/resonance. Had a tail pipe section off a ford 6.4L laying around so install was a breeze. Heres some pics, ill see if i can link a couple sound clips.

i installed a dynomax 17228 in a dual side-exit setup on mine a few months ago. much quieter in cruise than the chambered it replaced, but it's just as loud with a lot of go pedal, however, it's much more rev-happy now that it can flow better on the top end.
the sound is a little softer or cushier than before (maybe less edgy is a better description), but i still like it.

Yeah I was honestly a little worried it was going to be too loud for my dad's liking, he actually seemed a little disappointed it wasn't louder haha. Definitely has the "right" sound in my opinion though.

Headers and high-flow cats will make it loud. LOL.

Oh yeah, honestly though the headers/high flow cats didn't make a huge difference on mine for overall noise, at least not in the cab. Unless I'm really laying into it or pulling my camper most people would probably think it just has a cat back. I even have a flow master chrome exhaust tip haha.

But there again two completely different exhaust systems/mufflers, mine was significantly louder with just the magnaflows in place of the factory suitcase.
