i have all sorts of info to sort thru, lots of pulls and a few strange readings.
9psi, closed exhaust, pump gas, 16deg >> 406hp 425tq
9psi, open exhaust, pump gas, 16deg >> 468hp 467tq
11psi, open exhaust, pump gas, 16deg >> let off due to knock reading
9psi, open exhaust, pump gas, 20deg >> let off due to knock reading
11psi, open exhaust, 100octane, 16deg >> 47xhp(need to look up the exact numbers)
11psi, open exhaust, 100octane, 20deg >> 497hp 464tq
11psi, open exhaust, 100octane, 24deg >> let off due to knock
i tried more boost with the 100octane and got no more power, i also backed up my pump gas run(468hp) with another run the same and got 464hp.
62rwhp with the cut out is sweet and there was still a butt load of exhasut coming out the tail pipe, tells me some strait thru exhaust may even help a little with the cut out open. the cut out plate is actualy a little smaller than the 3"downpipe.
other really odd thing is on my 2 best runs(the pump gas and 100 octane) i basicly got the same hp and TQ from the bottom all the way up till about 5000rpm, above 5000rpm is the only time the extra boost and timing made more power
, prety odd huh.
for every run i waited till the iat's were below 100deg to start the run and the coolant and tranny temps were very steady and cool.
i will post up a vid and the charts in awhile, not sure if i will get them up before i head to the track(1/8th mile
)
oh yeah, wait till you see my previos best dyno chart, it was 430rwhp with a 125shot, new chart looks soo much better, beats it from the bottom to the top. oh yeah again, very flat tq curve, from 3250 to 6000 it is above 400tq.
over all i am very happy, didn't blow any thing up either, not yet today anyways. i decided i am not going to spray this thing up top, i might spray out of the hole, like 2000-4000rpm or so just to get me moving.
man, got even more to say, just keep thinking of things, my maf maxes out at 60.01lb/min, i actualy saw it flatline for a sec or so.

Sweet numbers! Very good info with all those runs with different boost / timing / octane values. That was probably money well spent since you now know alot more about the characteristics of your boosted powerband.

Very nice, that stock catback is a HUGE cork...since you're trying to keep some stealth with it, that big Magnaflow that's 5x11x22 is quiet as hell and flows great...
Since you tapped the MAF out, any ideas on what you're gonna have to do?

got some vid and charts, heres the vid >> http://members.***.net/parish8/turbodyno.wmv
and some charts, i think that last one is a little off, looks like the boost numbers got stretched a little to fit the nitrous chart, something isn't quite right about it.

Oh I see, it wasn't pegged for a long time.
I thought it had been maxed for most of the run.
Any reasons it's being shutdown at ~6200? I thought that cam that was in there had something like 230* intake duration? Does the boost eat the duration up or are you not wanting to rev the motor too high at this point?

i should have taken it to 6500, i see on the one chart it was still climbing a little at 6250, probably could have seen my 500rwhp with that.
i am not sure where to shift this thing, still need to work that out, lower than before i would thing but maybe not.

It looks like you need different shift points depending on boost level and timing. Maybe an excellent use for the tow-haul button.
That boost does look sweet when directly compared to your nitrous power.

Those look nice! I wanna see what mine will do once Allen gets his dyno in. I may have to stick it on there to see what it will do.
Maybe I can have some heads *hint hint* and a cam by then.
