Default Dyno numbers and cam install update

Went and stretched the straps this past Friday.

243hp, 251 lb-ft

I'm going to try to get the dyno sheets on the web somehow. Hopefully in the next couple of days.

And, phase one of the cam swap is complete. We changed the valvesprings and pushrods out. After fighting for 4 hours to find a lost keeper, we finally buttoned everything up. The keeper fell off of the FIRST spring that we did and lodged into the oil drain hole in the head. We checked the head with a magnet, checked the frame, checked the floor of the garage, prayed, cussed and fussed until we found it. It was an ordeal to say the least.

For anyone doing a cam swap, make sure that your dealer has these in stock and pick up a handfull just in case! They're only about a dollar apiece and the closest ones that I could find were in Orlando, which is about 2 hours away!

Seeing Red.....wanna go to Gainesville this Wednesday? We're finishing up the cam tonight!

I'm really curious to see how that cam's gonna work for ya! I'm looking at weather.com and it looks like it will be around 70 degrees and almost no chance of rain. I'm leaving Mandarin a little after 5pm. That way I hopefully will be there when they open the gates to get some practice runs in before I get my *** handed to me by a little ole 4.8!

Scream, Seeing red again, This wednesday I'll be going to Gainesville. It will be my first 1/4 run in this truck.I wouldn't mind seeing how i can do agianst some pros. I've heard that you can hook alot better than Jax. If thats true maybe I can get my 60' under 2.0. Hey Scream, when I get my cam you think you could help me with some install pointers?

I can try to give a pointer or two, but I'm having someone else do the cam for me. I'm not very mechanically inclined!

I hope that we can get this thing buttoned up tonight!

No sir, and I think that I have the hot, humid weather to thank for that.

I was running consistant 15.20s all night, which is the best it's run in the heat.

BUT, I gained 3 mph (up to 92) from my warm weather slips, so I'm pretty happy. I definitely need a converter now. I might get headers next to see if that helps.
