Ok, I'm gonna get a set of LT's for my truck and want to get a nice set. I really like that american racing headers are make out of all american steel but the dynatechs look like they would flow better. What do you guys think?

I'd get pacesetters myself and save some money.
I own a set of dynatechs and yeah they are made really nice but i'd rather more flow from the pacesetters.
Eventually i will get rid of mine just no point as the truck is down with a bad stall.

Yea I find that hard to believe, considering dyantech is supposed to be one of the best. And remember sometimes more flow is not beneficial, too much flow and all your bottom end disappears. You have to match the header to the power you are making. Just based on what I have read.

Going to too big of a collector will hurt midrange and low end torque, it all depends on how much air you're moving and what the application is. For most of us, a 2.5" collector will suffice, but we know from experience here that the PaceSetters with their 3" collector have served many well. Then there's the tradeoff of do you want a stainless pipe that will hold up to the weather and a catted system that bolts in, or do you want the 3" collector that may very well be optimal for blown, or larger cube applications, but also requires fab work if cat converters are necessary. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), emissions plays a role for some of us also.

I just ordered a set of 1 3/4 american racing headers on the phone for my 08.
Mike told me the tubing behind the cats and the merge behind the cats is 2.5 inch for a reason. low rpm power and torque, which is what i want. i asked if they would do the merge section in 3" and he said yes, but i may lose some bottom end so i opted for 2.5"
the dynatechs i had on the 07 had 2.5" merge pipe too. they worked great.
i chose amh this time as the dynatechs didn't fit great, banged on the crossmember, but
i understand they have since fixed the fitment, mine were an early set, nov 07, so don't hold that against dynatech. i like to try different stuff anyway
i'll post up some pics when i get them. they are made to order, so if you want a 3" merge pipe they will do that, may be a good choice with a blower but not na.
