Post Dynatech LT's w/cats looking to add a A/F gauge

I have a really quick question that I think sounds too easy, but I'm going to throw it out there. I'm wanting to add an A/F gauge to my truck to monitor the lean/rich of the exhaust and since I have Dynatech LT's with the cats I was wondering if I could just delete the two rear O2 sensors and stick the A/F bung in the furthest to the rear O2 sensor location in the y-pipe portion of the exhaust. I think it should work but just want to make sure, or do I need to weld an extra bung in. Thanks in advance for the newbie question. I think I know the answer just want to be sure.

It won't read as accurately post cat but okay to do. I have mine in the bung in front of the catalytic converters.

Yeah, I would do it in front of the cats if you can.

So do you have your's on the driver side? Cuz if I remember correctly I think the headers have two bungs around the cats. I think one is in the cat towards the back and one is like towards the front. I could be mistaken since its been awhile since I've gotten to take a look at it.

Yes, drivers side. My dynatechs have two bungs in the cat. One before and one after, so its add a bung or install the WB sensor in the existing bung pre cat and simulate the narrowband to the pcm. I did the last.

Ok, I'm just going to put it into the pre-existing bung in front of the cat. I still have my O2 sensors in the cats in the rear. Is there any pcm work or just plug and play?

Not that easy.... Assuming you are installing a WB AF gauge/o2. To put it in the front and replace the narrowband sensor it must be capable of emulating a narrow band signal. You then must wire the narrowband signal from the WB controller back to the PCM. I ran the wire from the controller back down under the truck and fed back to the PCM through the original narrowband o2 plug.

Your talking about taking the front O2 sensor out? I think in my Y-pipe I have two bungs around the cat. One in the front part of the cat and another one in the rear of the cat, this does not include my 02 sensor that is in the header. I have four O2 sensors currently in my exhaust, but what came to mind to me was putting the WB A/F into the front part of that cat on the drivers side, not the front O2 sensor in the header. I might not be right, but I thought I saw a plug towards the front side of the drivers side cat. I have the old style dynatech with the hump if that helps. I also thought I remember reading that some ppl had to move their rear O2 sensors becuz they were burning them up. That is why I think there are two around that cat, not including the front O2 sensor.

My bad. I don't have another bung in the header. My front 02's actually go into the cat.
