Default Dumped exhaust

Well my rollpan is going on in a couple weeks so I am going to have to do somthing with my exhaust(split rear). I am not just going to dump the flowmaster ether because It allready drones bad around 70 and I can just imagine what that would be like. My plans include longtubes and a ORY so that needs to be brought into concideration. It can be loud on the outside but NO DRONE and fairly quiet on the inside. What do you guys recommend for a muffler? Dumped before or after the axle? Thanks

whatever you do, dumped after the axle will give you less drone/resonance. Look into a large cased magnaflow muffler.

not to jack your thread or anything but will the sound of the exhuast outside of the truck be any different if you dump the exhuast behind the axle than before the axle?

After the axle will be quieter inside the cab.

I got some aerochambers for sale in 2.5" if you are interested plus an x-pipe in case you want a true dual system. I know a lot of people on here love them.

So after the axle it is. Right now I'm looking at magnaflow mufflers, would a 6" round 14" long muffler be enough to kill the drone with no cats? Or should I be looking at a oval design? Speaking of which are the oval mufflers with center in/out straight through? Sorry fo asking so many questions, just trying to get it right this time

Offset/offset is quieter than center/center but center/center is straight through. They say there is no difference in the sound but if you want quiet with no cats then I would suggest the longest muffler if they have bigger than a 14".

Mine are turned downward before the axle. With the smaller Mags (11226), there's a little drone, but not nearly as bad as Flows would drone. Of course, Mags wake up when you go WOT. Sounds bad-*** to me!

I've got mine turned down a little bit after the axle with a large 5x11x22 muffler and love it. Quiet as stock when you're not into it and good and deep when you get on it. I can get some pics if you like.

Anyone have the 6" round by 30" long magnaflow? I think it would be enough. Thanks for everything guys.
