Dual TBI's on a 383 Small Block
#1
I'm given this some serious consideration right now. I just got my 383 installed and broken in a few weeks ago and I'm running stock 193 heads with a single Holley 670 cfm TBI. But I plan to install some AFR or Edelbrock heads and a bigger roller cam this spring and since the intake will be off anyways I might just give this bad boy a try. I'm not sure how it would run and how the progressive linkage will be set up but I'm going to find out....

as long as you can tune it that would be great..those heads suck..my old bosses turbo truck had those heads and with the cam he had rated to 6000 rpm made power only to 3600 rpm..350 rwhp and 515 rwtq all before 3600 rpm...all cause of those heads

It seems like someone used to make a driver for the fuel injectors to do that. I thought about it at one time. You have to use the IAC and TPS off just one TB if I remember correctly which would make a progressive linkage impossible but a synchronous would work. Contact Brian at TBIchips.com for help.

I'm not sold on it yet! I want to put better heads on my TBI motor first and see where I'm at and then if I need more I'll do the Performer MPFI or a dual TBI or maybe even a TPI. Its all speculative at this point.
I finally got a memory card for my camera, so now I can get some videos longer than 14 seconds. In fact I took it and my 383 TBI truck out down town and did a few 50-60% throttle stop light to stop light runs. The roads are still wet and icy from all the snow we got the other day and I had to roll out to 20 mph or so to keep from spinning. Not a great video but I was just goofing off anyways. As soon as the roads are dry and clear I'll post some full throttle 0-60 and 0-100 mph runs.
