Default Drone with LT's and Magnaflow...Help

I installed my OBX LT headers and ORY pipe and now I have an almost unbearable drone. I was think of putting a bullet in front of the muffler to solve this. Can anyone tell me if that will work or are there any other ideas?

I added Dynamax bullets onto mine to quiet it down, I didnt have a drone though it was just LOUD under decent throttle. Highway and cruising was fine. But anyway the Bullets suprised me, when looking at them I didnt think they would make much of a difference but they did. They are also pretty cheap, what size magnaflow do you have?

I have whatever muffler comes with the full catback system, its a fairly long one. I would estimate it's at least 24" long. I have it exiting in the stock location. It seems to drone really bad at about 1800 rpm. It's tolerable at about 70 but at around 60 it's loud in the cab and driving around town is annoying too.

You'll get used to it...really.

I have Pacesetters and X pipe with dual Magnaflows and it drones. Sig link for idle.

Hey truckmann, I know this is a old thread but did you ever solve your problem with the drone? I just put my OBX LT's on and I have a 11" magnaflow and some serious drone between 1600-2000 RPM. I was thinking of putting a 20" magnaflow on mine.

I don't know that I really solved anything. I put a resonator in front of the muffler, but I don't think it made much difference. Since then it has either mellowed out some or I have just gotten used to it cause it doesn't really bother me anymore. I would say just give it a couple of months before you do anything and then if it is still bothering you maybe look into the larger muffler.

My one chamber true duals were in the stock location with no headers and it was real bad in the cab, I added headers and had some pipe ran from the mufflers over the axle and pointing down at the ground next to my spare on the pass side and it made a world of diff.
