drive by wire swap

Default drive by wire swap

hey guys just picked up my lq9 and its drive by wire and my 5.3 is not what do i need to do. also the oil pan is cracked can i just switch that from my 5.3. thanks any ifo would be great.

Oil pan should swap right over, and just swap your intake off the 5.3 as well. Then your cable throttle body will bolt right up. That's the only difference. Make sure you use your old harness and PCM.

why cant i just swap thottle bodies the 5.3 one fits

I believe you can, but the DBW intakes don't have the brass inserts pressed in for the throttle cable bracket to bolt to.
