Default Drag Slicks

Just trying to figure out what size slicks will work best with my application.....

I would like to mount them on the stock 16 inch silverado wheels, what size should I use? I am running 4:10 gears, and I am afraid that if I go to small the truck will run out of power at the top of the 1/4 mi.

Any input will be great!

Go with the 28x10.5 , then you should be fine. You can fit an 11.5" on there, but it would loose a little of the contact patch on the 7" wheel.

Mickey Thompson. You want the ET Streets. I think some use a Nitto drag radial also though.

I 've Had good luck with the MT et streets- 28x11.50-16 on a lightwiegh centerline wheel. They offer 28x11.50-16 and 28x12.50-16. The 10.50 -16 is available in 26 tall. As of the last I looked they didn't make it for the 28. I bought mine at Jegs for a decent price. I also went with tubes to avoid any hassle but some here don't run them. The only down side to these 28X11.50-16 is that if you ever want to up grade to a 14" caliper you can only fit 18 and bigger rim.

do you think the 28x11.50-16 will fit on stock rims? I do not want to buy new wheels right now, maybe later on down the line.

according to the MT tech the ideal width for the tires is +or- 1" of the section width. For the 11.50 8" would be ideal but 7 or 9" rim would be fine so you should have no problem on the stock 16x7.

Btw. Check your PM.

So whats the best one for my truck with a 16x8 rim. Also If it is dropped 2 inches in the back. I am sure that isn't enough to matter though.
