Default dont use plumbing parts for your charge pipes :-), new hot parts report

ok, i knew this wasn't a great idea and i have a real silicone coupling ordered but i thought it would hold for a few days, i guess not.

the new cmotorsports header and downpipe are on and they fit great. here are some pics >> http://www.neufamily.org/images/newheader/

i also made some exhaust, i am geting a little better and this stuff. check it out.

TurboBerserker, my timing was fine, then i shut off the p0102(i think) code. that was the code for maf low. once i shut that off it didn't set the code and default to the map and messed up my timing bad. i reprogramed it and let that code come on and my timing works again. just let it set that code. with flashscan i can let it set the code but not turn on the light. i will try that. i did have a tps problem. something about performance out of range or something. not sure but it put me into the reduced power mode. i tried to figure it out but that hose came apart before i got anything figured out.

now for the performance. with my boost controler completely off i am seeing about 1.5psi more than before. it feels strong and on the one run it showed 6.9 at 99mph in the 1/8th. i didn't get a full run in before it went into reduced power mode, not even a full 1/8th so there is more in it. this was 10.5psi.

really not a lot to report just yet, i had to add a pile of fuel. exhaust isn't too loud, it has a mild drone but you can talk over it easy and hear the radio. not bad for 3.5" and strait thru muffler(s).

i am prety excited about my partial run. my best 1/8th ever is a 6.7 so i am close right now and this is prety low boost, pump gas, partial run. no more testing till i get that coupling.

Do you run factory tires or drag radials?

You have got to be spinning all 4s out of the hole.

I used a "Fernco" rubber coupler on my Grand National as a temporary fix until my new hoses came in. HUGE MISTAKE! One romp to 5 psi put a hole in it and scared the **** out of me.

I used those couplers on my 2.8 S-10 I turboed. I was running around with out a hood on and you should see them balloon up under boost. And I was only running 6 lbs. A little FYI If need Strait couplers for common sizes, Carquest and NAPA sells Strait radiator hose by the inch that works pretty good Its reinforced rubber and will take the heat and pressure. Price isn't bad either too. I think the 2 1/2 I got was $1.25 an inch. You learn this kind of stuff when you live in BFE like me and stuff take 10 days to get here by camel . Speedshop? what's a speed shop???
