Default Don't think tune is right

So big story. I have a 2014 GMC Sierra l83. I had the afm and vvt deleted. As soon as I got the truck back the rpm signal wire on the crankshaft sensor was broke and needed fixed. So I took it back to the shop and they didn't fix it just tried to tune it again bc they didn't believe me that the crankshaft sensor was messed up. He said he had to revise it 5 time and change the shift point in transmission. After that I got the truck back and I fixed the crankshaft sensor don't know how he tuned it when the truck wouldn't stay running. Anyway after fixing the crankshaft sensor the truck ran hot so I got a 172 katech thermostat. Here recently Ive noticed a knocking or pinging sound. So I take off valve cover and found a slightly bent push rod. The knocking/pinging only comes when truck is warm and most noticed at about 1500rpm range. I'm worried the tune isn't right and timing is off is this possible. Could he have got the tune right with the truck running but stalling out no way right

I see no possible way it could be right. Fix any mechanical issues then get it retuned. Don't think I'd be comfortable with that tuner.
