If I take off at WOT and then just before it shifts to second let off the gas to about half throttle it takes forever for it to shift, just sort of hangs there between first and second.

Never had this happen on my 99 S-10 with nearly the same transmission, even after I put the 350 in it. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed it or if mine is just messed up.

 

I've had a similar but not exact problem with mine and delayed shifts. Lots of times when merging onto an expressway I will leave the trans in "D" so that I don't go into OD as quickly. Usually if I let off around ~75-80mph and shift the lever into OD it sometimes takes as long as 10 seconds for it to actually make the shift into overdrive.

the problem with the shifting is 2 things.electronic trans with torque managment. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
