yeah mine does that. annoying as hell.

i hate when i launch hard from a dead stop, get some tire spin, and then when the tires finally quit spinning the RPMs just stay. the truck quits pulling and just slugs its way to the next gear. anybody know what causes that?

I knew nothing about this trucks at the time. I remember just asking the salesman to show me one witht a v8. I regret getting the 4.8.
