For a NBS? It looks like it is designed to seal against the hood, am I correct? It pulls air through the stock location in the fender does it not?

yea, when i pop my hood, i can see track marks where it hits my hood and seals, i havent taken out the plate that bolts up underneath it, where the stock air box was, i was worrying about water getting sucked up in there, but it gets air from the fender and underneath sorta.

Does K&N suggest that you remove the bottom plate? If so, will it then pull underhood air?
