Default do i need a turndown?

so...

i welded my muffler on last night, a magnaflow 11226, and it sounded great. i didn't have a turndown on it until tonight, and up until now, it has sounded great. now that i put a turndown on it, it sounds quiet as hell and very *****-ish.

basically, will i **** anything up if i cut the turndown off and leave it like that? as in burn up brake lines, spare tire, etc?

You could wrap your axle/brake lines with header wrap if you're really worried.

Naah it will be fine. I never ever put a turndown on. Just might have to clean it under there a little extra.

I ran without turndowns for a while, it sounded so much louder and better. Unfortunately, it was blowing right on my right rear shock and I wasn't too keen on that.
