Quick Help-Turndowns or Tips?
#1
Im about to be installing PaceSetter LT's,removing the cats, and putting on the Magnaflow(14568) stainless 2.5" dual in/dual out(built in x-pipe) 5x11 single muffler. I personally want to do turndowns but I wanted some opinions first. I really dont care for tips much but didnt knwo if anyone had negative feedabck on this setup with turndowns. Thanks!

I've been doing turn downs because I hate gaudy tips.
Only draw back is if you live or frequent dirt roads you'll kick up a lot of dust OR you will cake parts of your undercarriage with sooty exhaust smoke. Shouldn't have a problem if the truck is tuned well though

i have mine set up like three83 said. except i have single exaust. i would think with turn downs would produce a lot of drone like my flowmaster did. i have no cats and i can't hardly hear it on the hwy.

I like the clean look of turndowns (especially on a lowered truck) and the way they sound most of the time but the droan really gets old. I had dual magnaflows turned down befor the axle and it wasn't unbearable till I did the h/c. I now have a single exhaust with the exit tucked in the rear pass corner so it is bearly visible. The droan is much improved over the pre-axle dumps.
