Disappointing Radix install on a 5.3L
#51
Like I stated before I do not have any other dyno sheets. If my customers have dynoed their trucks great, I dont have a dyno here in the shop and when we do I will dyno each customers vehicle and post the results and provide them with a dyno sheet.
One interesting point:
If the Radix does not put out the advertised HP, then why is Joe Gibbs and John Lingenfelter using them and getting the dynoed HP ratings on their OWN dynos?

Okay, we'll wait and see what happens when Magnuson has a look.

There is a shop out there advertising new 5.3L vehicles that are stock except for the Radix and some long-throw headers, and claiming in excess of 400HP. Now they are vague about flywheel or RWHP, but regardless, where is the dyno? I haven't seen one, and after talking with them, I'm not sure they have ever run one. So how can they claim what they claim?
On thing is for sure, if I was in the supercharger business and my product did what I said it did, I would not only not hesitate to show proof, I would be prominently displaying it so everyone could see, wouldn't you? Where are the dyno sheets on Magnuson's web site? Isn't it weird that there aren't any there?
Regarding Gibbs and Lingenfelter and other professional shops, I don't know what they're doing. What other mods do they make to their powerplants besides the Radix? How do they account for their increases (i.e. which increases are attributable to which modifications), do you know? Do they break it down? If not, how do we know how much is coming from the Radix? Where are their dyno sheets, do you have links?

He also said that he doesn't have dynos sheets from some of his customers that dynoed on their own. Obviously your truck has issues. Comparing a dyno sheet isn't going to fix your truck.
You need to get off the dyno ho bit and get somebody to look at your truck that knows what's going on. With the above being said I wouldn't **** in your mouth if your stomach was on fire.
Your an arogant and demanding *****, and I hope your truck never runs worth a damn.

Well after reflecting on some of the negative things some of you have written about me, I have to admit that most (if not all) of you are correct. In my replies and posts I have been arrogant, pushy, and worst of all - especially in light of the offer that was extended to me - completely ungrateful. There is no excuse for this behavior, so I won't try to make one up. All I will say is that I was wrong.
What happened is exactly this....I did not get what I thought I was getting, something I paid a considerable amount of money for, and because of this, I got angry and then I got mistrustful. Unfortunately, I directed these feelings at the wrong people - people who were trying to help me. In actuality, if anyone deserves blame it would be the manufacturer, then possibly the install shop. Certainly not you guys.
In my quest to figure out exactly who was to blame I became obsessed with dyno sheets, thinking this would help me figure out who to really be angry at. When I didn't see any, I decided that it was all a vast right-wing conspiracy (well not quite, but you get the idea). To be more precise, I got more mistrustful of you guys. That wasn't helpful, and certainly wasn't fair to all of you. I apologize.
So that's all I have to say. I will continue in my pursuit to get this issue resolved simply because it is something I invested a lot of time, money, and energy into, and I really want to see results. In the meantime, let me know if you are interested in what I find out (I'll understand if you don't), and if you are, I will update you on any progress I make.

Now that's more like it! Hey, we all f@*k up from time to time, hell, I just got into an arguement with my wife because I was annoyed with someone at work. I came home and she asked me what was on the TV, and I said, "DUST, WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN DOING ALL DAY?!!" Anyway, I believe in second chances, but thirds are out of the question.
