Question Digital speedometer

I had posted about installing an aftermarket digital speedo, and a gentleman replied back but I can't remember what he had posted. I was wondering if you could tap into the factory wiring for the speedo, so that when you hit 100mph or 120mph(denali guys), the digital speedo will pickup the mph after that. I mean the factory and the digital will read the same from 0-100mph but the digital will just keep on going. Does this make any sense??? Sorry for being such a pain in the .............. just want to try something different!

Post up looking for a skematic of the wiring to figure out which color wire is for the speedo... maybe someone knows off hand and than just find a digital guage from somewhere.. im sure there are some cheap speedo guages on summit's web page. I, too have been thinking about getting just a digital speedo.. bc i think my speedometer is way off as it is.
