Default Differences between truck and car programs (tuning)

Well, the LS1 is in and idling like a champ. It's still at my buddy's house, and I'm going over this evening for my first test drive!

Now, for some tuning.

I have a good friend with a very similar setup in his T/A. I thought I remembered reading that there were some subtle differences between the two programs, but I'm not sure what. Would it be possible for me to use the "copy table" function in EDIT and paste his tables into my program? What exactly is different between the two programs?

I'm shocked that it's idling on the 4.8 tune!

not sure, but i think it depends on the version of EDIT you have. i THINK 1.3 will do it.

I all depends on if you can open a car file in you version of edit or not. If you can open your file then open a car file for the comparison table and the data is not garbled, you are golden. Otherwise you will need V1.3 to copy and paste between two seperately opened files... that is if you can open a car file at all.

I have V1.3. Aren't there differences in the way that the truck computer computes certain information? Something to do with fuel?

I might have made this up in my mind, but I thought that there were some differences.

I would think all you need to check is the VE table, HO timing table, IFR, and the spot for you engine size.
