I agree it dont bounce like a rev limiter it just kinda lags
hard to describe

what happens is the blade closes about halfway even with your foot planted
once it reaches its cutoff rpm
and if your shift rpm is higher than the etc cutoff it cant help but happen

further logging roughly shows over 1 sec improvement from 49-85mph now
after I corrected this

This is because of your electronic TB.

What was happening on Gamedawg's is once the rpm's got up to that limit, and as it approached the limit, the PCM began to close the throttle. Once the throttle blade began to close it wasn't looking at WOT shift param's anymore. Therefore, at 20% throttle and 48 (?) mph, it had exceeded the qualifications for a shift. That's why it felt like it set down on top, because it did.

Slowprocess has a pre 03, so he has the hard limiters. Where it just cuts out, instead of closing the throttle up.
