Default Degree'ing a cam...

Just seeing what all has to be done, and what the benefits are.

I just have a little 01 Z06 cam in a 5.3 and was told I shouldn't have to degree it.

truth?

Its in the truck, and runs fine...just needs to be tuned a little.

you can't do it unless you have an adjustable timing set

Degreeing a cam is mostly a "yeah its right" thing. I've done 3 or 4 over the years and haven't found one ground wrong. Do they offer offset inserts for the cam gear to advance/retard it with the lsx style engines?
