Thumbs up

Mine just arrived , got home from work just in time to sign for them! They're pretty nice looking for the price. Now the question is, do I take off work tomorrow to install them and my exhaust?

The 99-02 have the extra fittings that will need to be capped off.

These look pretty good overall, I am only concerned with the gap between the primary tubes and the header flange on the Driver's side header. Not a very big gap and the welds on the outside are pretty thick, but I am wondering if I should JB Weld the gap flush, or try to expand the tubing to touch the flange?

Passengers Side

Any ideas on the primaries to flange fitment? Just deal with it? Thanks!

Dont put JB weld in that gap, it could and probably will burn up and then it will screw up your O2 sensors! The only thing to do is weld it, if your concerned that it will leak. But to weld it without screwing up the coating you need to use a wet rag on the outside to keep the temps down, Doing that with small stich welds pausing a couple of seconds between each stich weld should cover the gap and not screw up the coating.

BlackGMC, thanks for the advice, I am taking these home with me this weekend to install at my parent's place, my father has been a welder for 30+ years. I know he has a MIG and TIG machine at work he could use to fix these right up. I will make sure he uses a wet rag to insure the integrity of the coating. Small stitch welds it is then! Good looking out! Anyone else notice a gap between the Primary tubes and the header flanges?

Use the Tig it is not as hot as a mig, just make sure you don't over heat the coating cause I am pretty sure it needs to be cooked in by exhaust gas to harden.

Try placing an exhaust manifold gasket on the header flange and line it up. If the gaps are outside of the holes in the gasket, I wouldn't worry about it.
