Cutting Cats on 2006 5.3
#1
I've been trying to sell my truck, but it ain't happening, so I guess I'll start modding it.
I've heard a lot of 5.3's with no cats and they seemed to have a really obnoxious popping sound and the rumble didn't really sound good at all. I'm planning on going with a Magnaflow muffler and custom dual exhaust exiting in front of the passenger side wheel (like ford lightnings); would it sound better if I left the cats on?

When i cut out my cats the truck sounded like ***, granted i had no muffler besides my turbo but it was WAY too loud and sounded horrible. Now that i've got a magnaflow muffler on it though it sounds great.
