Default Cutouts how many, where.

So I am going to get some cutouts. But the question is how many and where to put them. Let me list:

I saw 03 GMC and I like his set up. The reason is that he has one right before the mufflers. This means that there is a little more tube from the headers to the cutout and therefore make it a nice clean loudass sound. And in this case you only need one. And you dont lose that much backpressure.

The second is that some people put them right after the cats especially on that bend allowing it to dump directly down. I would think in that location it would be a little louder than right before the muffler and probley one would lose some low end torque but maybe gain some high end. But would make make some HP on heavy modded engines (which I dont Have) And in this case I need two.

What are everyones experiences with the location and how many. I really dont care if I gain any hp on these although some is greatly appreciated but I dont want to lose any either. The only reason why I want to put them on is because they just sound freakin mean. I am puttin manuals ones in.

As far is mods I am going to be putting in a cam soon and a tune, and that about it for the engine. and also a verter.

Here is 03GMC cutout (hope you dont mind)

Please refrain from posting non sponser links and info, Thanks!

I have one after the cats. They say to get the most performance out of a cutout put it BEFORE the cats. I saw around 10rwhp from my cutout. And yes it is loud as ****!!

Look for them in the LS1 classified. I got mine brand new from a guy that decided not to use them. I got two of them for $225 shipped.

^^^Is it really loud. The main thing that i want is it to be louder but a clean loud, not like I got a hole in the muffler. I am kind of leaning towards 03GMC location, but I want to know if any others recomend any other place.

Please convince me where to put them.

Like I said I think I want manual the main reason for price, and I really dont mind getting under there. I think that when I do get it I will always leave it off!

I dont want them to sound like uncapped headers. Does anyone with right after cat cutouts have this experience. Do they sound like uncapped headers.

Just get some QTP's. They are listed to the right>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
That's what I have, and have not had an issue with them for over a year. I probably open and close them 3or 4 times a day.
