How much low-end will I lose with a cutout? Will I gain some mid to top end in the 1/4 mile? Will a cutout be good mod to help traction when I get a TB converter? My mods are on my sig. Thanks!

You will lose no low end and gain some on the top of every gear. With my cutout open I run a 2.24 60' and a 15.04 @90.35 mph. With it closed I run a 2.29 60' and a 15.18 @89.56 mph. I that is based off of 3 runs with it closed and 3 runs with it open on the same day. So they do help a little. Actually Mine does burn out better with the cutout open. I think in my opionion backpressure is a myth. The way the motor works to make power is the quicker you get air in the quicker you get it out the more power. Just my 2 cents.

with the cutout open it seems like you are going slower cause the trucks louder:-P
i think some pick up like 2ft pounds with the cutout capped, but they gain 15-20hp with the cutout open depending on your muffler
now putting the cutout before the cats will make you loose low end.. i noticed some below 2000 rpm loss when i deleted my cats
but the stall will make up for any low end loss you have
just put the cutout after the cats and you will be happy

i feel like i lose alot of low end with the cutout open. but...before the longtubes and !cats it felt stronger on the bottom with it open. after the longtubes and ory it feels weaker on bottom with it open but once it gets past 3K it screams. ill see whats going on next time im at the track.
