Finally got around to taking some pics and video of it. I got everything but the filter at the Performance Depot.

after looking at it closer that piece looks different than the stock one... is that a new part too? if so, I wonder why it still has that dish that sits above the fan shroud and chokes out the tube at the TB

I did something similar, but used 3.5" mandrel bends from EBay. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=361306
As far as the black plastic piece being the most restrictive part of the stock intake, I sure hope you're right, 'cause this thing sure does like what I've done so far!!!

yep, that is still the stock resonator. I need to take it off and replace it with something. I was thinking the Airaid MIT or a conduit box jury rigged and painted wrinkle black.

I wouldn't use aluminum on intake tubing if you can avoid it. It will transfer heat from your engine compartment more easily into your incoming air, might cost you a few ponies. However some polished tubing would sure look cool.
