Default custom cold air for my new truck :)

A friend of mine had some parts laying around at his shop. So I decided to make a cold air setup. Its a complete 4in system from the t/b to the huge k/n filter. Dont mind the dirty engine bay, but here are some pics....

thanks man. I noticed a nice difference with it. Part throttle is where it is most noticable and then again from 50 on up it pulls harder

nice work . im about to add a 90 degree elbow to the end of the maf and run 6 inchs of 4 inch piping down and attach the filter . get a colder air charge in there from inbetween the lights and bumper and form under the truck . remeber to remove tghe plate that was under your airbox to let air come up from under the truck

If it isn't too much trouble, can you list the sizes of all of the parts used?

its 2 90deg bent rubber elbows, and a piece of 4in aluminum tubing, and the k/n is the same one that fits a 98 checvy truck. part number is E-1796. you can get it at your local autozone or advanced auto parts.

I used a piece of the 4in tubing about 2in long to connect the 2 elbows together. the mass air meter fits perfectly in the end of the k/n then I cut a small piece of the rubber tubbing to connect the meter to the 4in tubing.

Thanks for the numbers man, I think I'll get started on this pretty soon. I think I'll try one of those cheap AutoZone colored cone filters instead of buying another K&N to see how they compare. They basically look the exact same thing to me..
