Default Custom air intake question

Hey guys! Its been a long time since my last visit.

I was wondering if connecting,say... using a 3" shop vac hose from the lower valance straight to the air box will be too much air for Chevy Avalanche 5.3 to handle?

I was lurking in my garage and it hit me. what if?

Any ideas?

..also i have HPTuners. Do i have to rewrite the tune? Is this custom intake i made worthless?

There really is no such thing as too much air, and no need to retune it just for an intake.

try searching on either pt.net or the web(google) for the volant SS scoop ram ir intake, its a ram air scoop VERY similar to yours except it is form-fitted for the front vents on the SSS and is not a flexible piece but abs or the like. and it bolts to the bottom of the standard volant intake.

to answer your question, no it is not too much air for your motor. and the intake tube will definetely help

not sure on the tune, but im pretty sure you wont need to retune for it
