I would get pushrods and springs while you are in there. I did. That is extremely expensive. I was quoted $600 and I almost **** myself. A friend and I will be doing it ourselves. From what I am told it isnt difficult, just time consuming. After my experience with numerous shops, I have decided to do everything myself. Even after paying huge amounts of cash, none of them could manage to do the job correctly. This time I'll cut to the chase and do it right myself as well as save some money.

It wont be terribly cheap. But on the other hand it isnt terribly hard. Just takes time. You dont need the rods. But its a good idea to throw some in. You will need springs. The 03 LS6 springs will do just fine and are much more forgiving than Comp 918's.
