Default Crank size?

The 5.3L, 5.7L, and the 6.0L all share the same crank right? I'm looking at getting one for my 6.0L project and I found a 5.7L crank out of a 01 Camaro SS. Just want to make sure it will fit. Anyone know what a forged stock size crank will cost?
Also, if I wanted to use my 5.3L heads, will they fit, and if so, will it change my compression?
Thanks.

Default Re: Crank size?

Yes, the crank is the same for most years, but the 99/00 6.0 is longer. The 5.7 crank is drilled out to lighten the assembly a bit. The truck cranks are not. A 5.7 crank should be plenty strong for a 650 hp motor. I would not give more than $175 to $200 for one. Look around and you can get them cheaper. Your 5.3 head will fit, but will raise compression due to the smaller chamber. You can have them hogged out to match the bore though. Check Patriot Performance or Texas Speed for some kick *** deals on stage 2 heads.
