Default Crank pulley is kicking my ***

Remeber when I blew the engine? Well when the dealer replaced it, I had them throw the ASP pelley from the other one on so I would have to do it myself. Well GOD FREAKING ZILLA and his 1000ftlb impact wrench must have put it back on. I've broken 3 stap wrenchs and stll can't get the thing to budge. My impact doesn't have the ***** to break it. The main problem is the pulley moving. Is'nt there someplace I can access to lock up the flywheel? I think there is a tol for it, but not sure. I'm not gonna turn this into a 3 day prgect because of a pulley and I'm to damn stubborn at this point to put it back together and let a shop do it just to break it all back down again. Any sure fire suggestions?

The shop was probably running about 200psi to the impact wrench they were using to put it on Try dropping the starter and put a wrench on one of the converter bolts so it will hold against the bell housing when the engine trys to move. Works on the old small blocks, should work on this one.....

That will expand it. Besides, there is really no way to get to it other than the bolt head.

I by no means recommend this but have used it with success as a LAST resort. Try an air hammer.

You have to hold the flexplate gear and use a breaker bar. The TQ on that bolt is 200lb it should be tight. And you should replace the bolt it is a stretch bolt.

How about this, I just snapped a William 18" 1/2" drive breaker bar in half. I think we are dealing with a little over troque here.

Man that is pretty crappy. If I was close to my air tools I bring over my 500ft-lbs impact and try to get it out.

Can ya borrow a larger impact from someone or ya may have to go on a tool binge like I did recently at Sears. I scooped up all sorts of stuff...1/2" drive Tq Wrench, Metric combo wrenches, U-joints, etc. Everything was on sale around here.

Greg - I know - but the expanding and contracting may help to break it free

The only other thing I may do is get a flywheel holding tool. Alldata gives it a part number J42386-A.
