Default CR question 6.0L

If someone could tell me what CR I would end up with using this combination of parts I have, I would appreciate it. I have a 1999-2004 cast iron block #12551364 with slightly dished pistons marked #3683 and I have #317 heads. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Are those stock pistons? Or aftermarket? What's the head gasket thickness?

wretched73, the pistons are supposed to be stock. I bought the short block years ago and it was presented to me as a low mileage stock short block. Somewhere along the way I bought the #317 heads. I'm just a little confused about the CR because I thought 6.0L engines came with flat top pistons.

lq4 6.0=dished pistons
lq9 6.0=flat top
ls2 6.0=flat top

look up the stock CR of a lq4.

should be around 9.5:1 if it is a stock Lq4 with stock thickness head gaskets. The flat top Lq9 is 10:1 and the flat top Ls2 is closer to 11:1......

chevy claims the LS2=10.9:1. none of my calculators agree but it's close enough.
