A couple questions...maybe you can help!

First off, what exactly is torque management, and is there anyway to remove it without ordering another tuner, or going with a custome tune? My current handheld does not have an option for this? and does these custome tunes(wait4me and Nelson)dramatically improve shift firmness and throttle response? I really honestly can't tell much difference with my hypertech except the for the fact that it will bury 120mph and won't come off of it for a while after letting off the throttle....Thanks for the help!

i have the nelson tune and love it...
the crane tuner is the only handheld that plays with TM I believe.. other than that, you have to get a custom tune to get rid of it.
TM is the vehicles way of pulling timing on the shifts to help supposedly save the trans and make it live longer
If you have a scanner you would notice on the shifts that the pcm pulls timing.. it would normally be like 26degrees for example but on the shift you only have 12 degrees of timing..
hope that helps some

You really should go with a mail order tune. I had a Hypertech and then went with a mail order tune from PcmForLess and it is a world of difference. The mail order tune cost me like $265 and I just sold me Hypertech on Ebay the other day for $265, so I am very pleased.
I had 100% TM removed, they told me it will be fine with 100% removed as long as I don't tow. Just search this site up and down, you'll find all of the info you need.
