Well first off I have a P0420 and P0430 code is that from not having rear O2's?
After I installed a locker in my truck when I turn it feels like the abs is kicking in? anyone have this problem?
When changing out the cam in these truck is it easier and better to machine the head for new springs or just go the Comp 915 route?
And how high of mileage is it recommended to change out the lifters?
I think that is about it. thanks for any help

Lockers are normally locked and only unlock to turn corners. You can feel it unlock, some units can even be heard.
The lifters won't wear out. The rollers have needle bearings and no part of the lifter is made from anything but steel. My stock lifters have seen two cam swaps and a new shortblock and still work perfectly with 74,000 miles on them and reving past 5600.
As for your hunch with the codes - yes. Those diagnositcs need to be disabled if you do not have the two rear oxygen sensors.
Removing the heads is better. The studs are pressed in. Running high RPM and more lift, with or without tighter springs, is enough to pull a stud out. That will leave you pulling the heads any way. Clearance the pushrod holes while you're at it too. Keep in mind there is always a good market for stock Vortec heads. If you wanted to put some bolt-on aftermarket heads on in their place it will save a lot of waiting for machine work.

It may be your ABS kicking in. Mine does it and I got an Eaton. But I think it's more a problem with the brakes and ABS itself maybe not from the locker. I can feel it plusing in the petal sometimes at slow speeds coming to a stop.

JAMES B So hows that new motor doin? If you dont mind me askin what cam do you have in yours? Also do you think that the regular sbc springs would be a better choice than the 915's?
BO185 that is what mine is doing but mine also does it real bad when stopping while turning, but it started when I put the locker in. The locker in mine you can hear good everyone thought I had broke something when I put it in.

The ABS system my me bad. Have you changed your brake pads lately? If so and you didn't open the bleeder while clamping the pistion on the caliper you may haqve damed the abs. I think thats what happened on mine cause it started after a brake change.
