Yes! For one thing, the vette servo is cheaper. Also when combined with a shift kit, it's not as harsh as a billet servo would be. Also billet servos tend to put too much pressure on the band, causing them to crack or sometimes break.

A billet OD servo is OK if your truck is used for towing, but makes it hard on the tranny with a shift kit or running at the track.

Question

Ok, thanks, I'll remember that for future reference. I'm going to do the shift kit/servo deal this winter. Anything else I should maybe get? There may be forced induction in my truck's future.

My tuning is STRAIGHT from SuperChips. I am VERY happy with it.

No shift kit. Just the stock 60-E and the vette servo. After a day of driving, I am VERY happy with the change!

Maybe I should have tried that and I wouldn't have these hard shifts! 0 washers and the vette. THinking about pulling the vette out to see what happens.
