Default Corsa catback.... Is it worth the $$$$$???

Alright guys,
I have a 06 crewcab chevy and im thinking about buying the Corsa catback for it. I just have a bullet with a dump on there right now and it sounds good but it drones alot. I still have my cats too but ill probably get rid of them soon. Anyways, ive been looking at the Corsa catback. I like that it is all stainless and i love the look of their side exit tip! The sound is great and from what i have heard, they dont drone inside the cab one bit! Only bad thing is that its a pricey system. Im just wondering if yall think its worth the $$$$ to get it or not?

Ive always just bought a muffler like a flowmaster, dynomax bullet, magnaflow, borla, hooker aerochamber, etc. and had it welded in with a turndown. This time im considering getting the whole catback and buying a quality one that will last and that will perform like the Corsa. Eventually, i will get pacesetter LT's and O/R Y-pipe and keep the corsa with it. I already have a S&B intake and ill get a Nelson tune and thats probably about it.

Let me know what yall think. Thanks!!!

My Corsa Sport system sounds great. No drone at all in cab. On the down side, if you remove the cats, it will get really loud and will have quite a bit of a raspy note to it. Some actually like the raspy noise.
Like I posted before, if I could do it again, I would pick the new Bassani cat-back kit. It's different and sounds awesome. You might want to look into them.
Good Luck!

Jim

If you leave the cats in it will be awesome, def. worth the money IMO. No drone in-cab at all. If you gut the cats, be prepared for some nasty rasp as CHEVY6000VHO stated. I had to put a resonator inline with my muffler to cut the rasp down to a tolerable point, but it's still freakin loud. Have a little drone in-cab, but not enough to be annoying.

Sounds good. Performance-wise there is little benefit. Mine became loud and raspy when I lost the cats. Still quiet at cruise though.

There are 2 different models of Corsa catbacks for our trucks...touring and sport. The sport model is the loudest one. I have the side exit Corsa sport for my truck and I love it. No drone at cruising speed and the sound at wide open throttle is amazing!! I get compliments all the time...and some nasty looks, LOL. I felt a small difference in performance. I lost some low end power but the top end is better.

I also have the Corsa Sport Dual Rear. I frickin Love it. I was leary about spending the money at first too, but after a little stroking from my dealer, I ended up getting it. It is the only cat back the GM actually backs from what I hear. That was my main selling point for getting the Corsa. Sounds freakin great. I would like to try it with out the cats, I installed the K&N air intake a couple of weeks after, and it added a little more tone to it. Here is a pic of the dual rear. I paid $800.00 to have the dealer purchase it and install it for me when I bought the truck.

if you plan on pacesetters go with the touring eddition...its still loud after the lt's and no cats, but not as raspy...i have the sport with lt's and had to add a long dynamax bullet to minimize the rasp

This is what I have been looking for! I tend to like the raspy myself. I dont really care too much for the deep sounds. The Magnaflow is ok for now, but I will be getting the Sport exhaust when I get some extra dollars. My only deal is, I dont like tips, side or rear. So I am wondering what it would sound like turned down under the truck.
