Default Coolant Sensor issues / probs. ??

Hey all... I rec'd my Outlaw CAI this afternoon and installed it. Took the truck out for a drive and noticed @ higher mph it would shake a little bit. Kinda like the pcm was pulling timing, or not allowing enough... Or possibly not compensating for the little extra air going into the intake. Then I glanced at my gauges and my coolant temp was barely above 160*. It's an '05 w/ a stock t-stat.... Stock everything really. Doesn't even have 3k miles. The truck was warm enough as I'd been driving it for 10 minutes. I got back home and killed it. Put the key in the off position, then switched it back to on.. The gauge needle then rose to 210* like normal, so I went ahead and started it. Again, it went to 210*.. And about 4 seconds later.. dropped back down to 160*.

Long story made short.. I'm much more familiar w/ LT1's vs. LS1's. The LT1's use two coolant sensors - one on the water pump that feeds the coolant temp info. to the pcm. The other is on the driver's side head, and it sends a temp. signal to the gauge cluster.

I'm guessing.. Err.. Hoping the LS1 cars use just 1 for both? Is this a common problem, or has anyone else experienced this? This sucks! I sure hope it's not a sign of things to come .

I guess on a good note it should be covered under warranty. Heh.
