Default Cool Test!

We have a 2001 5.3L sub with a Magna Charger on it here in the shop. The customer has a e-cut out on the exhaust, I am going to test it with the cut out open and the cut out closed.....should be cool to see the difference.

you should do a pcm re-flash each time you test it with the same tune. i remember reading that the pcm will slowly adjust itself to the loss and gain of back pressure but doing a reflash each time it will pick it up right away.its sounds confusing but im sure someone else can explain it better than me. should be interesting to see the results

good idea except that if you're going to run the set-up on the street, i don't think you'll reset the PCM everytime you open them up, so maybe it would be a more real world test to do it without resetting.

post up the results! i have cut outs and have long been on the side that they give you gains up high and are worth it against those that say they rob you down low and never give back...

i agree but if his results did prove there was a gain using my hypothesis. it would make me reflash my pcm everytime i went to the track .

Should be cool to see. It would definitely make people, or make people think twice, about doing cut outs. Can't wait to see what happens

Showed a 6 rwhp gain all the way through the power band.....and about 5 rwtq. There was another pull that did show a 9 rwhp gain, but the graph was lost when the computer went down.

Gain: Yes
Would I spend the money for it: NO
