I know that the SS Silvy RCSB concept had the Tahoe 5-link rear, but would there be any advantages at the track or even "in the twisties
" to going to a 5 link on a pickup? I'm sure there would be some slight fab work, but anyone ever looked into this swap and how feasible it is?
What parts would I need? Any of the Tahoe guys have any pics or know the difference by chance?

yes there is definitely advantages for ride quality,1/4 mile, and road course work. but adapting the GM utility stuff isn't realy worth from a fab./ time perspective some of the aftermarket 4-links aren't bad but the panhard bars are all too short they'll bind in the travel range. modify one of these and you'll be OK.

My panhard rod never binds and it has way more travel than the stock suspension ever did. Just make sure the axle end of the rod (which comes from the framerail to the far side of the differential) has a spherical rod end and you'll have no problems.
Its a little scary sometimes having the rear so much more solid than the stock leafs, when I hit a bump mid turn, I feel the whole rear of the truck step out with the axle instead of just mushing over it.
