Would a torque converter out of a C5 work in a truck?

Different setup for the input shaft I believe. A C5 converter is kinda like a reworked LT1 converter. The C5 and LS1 F-body can't even swap converters. Now I have read there are people that swap the F-bod converters into the trucks but C5s cant.
