Acorrding to the yank site a 3000 stall is good for about .5 second reduction in ET.

Mine actually got slower after my TT3000 until I got some tires that would hold. But from radials to the ET Streets, I cut my short time down by .2 and .5 in the 1/4.

I got 6 tenths drop in ET with my old Yank Truck Thruster 3000 in my Tahoe. No other changes. Stock 245/75/16 tires. Best mod ever!

Another question for your convertor guys. How many of you are towing with 3000 stalls?? Any recorded temps? I know I could definitely use a stall!

3-5 tenths is pretty common from a converter upgrade.

You shouldn't have any problem towing with the 3000. It's the 3200 that will limit you to 3200 RPMs. I sometimes wish I didn't use my truck to tow once in awhile because I'm limited to a 2600 stall. A 3200 would get the Suburban off the line much better.

YANK TRUCK THRUSTER 3000 (4.8, 5.3L only) (278 mm, 3000 stall, 2.21 STR, 98.6% efficiency!) This converter is a modified Truck Thruster 2600. Being so, it shares the stock-like appearance, super-high efficiency, and impressive towing capacity of its lower stall brother. This is the most aggressive converter for the Truck and SUV enthusiast who still wants to maintain their full factory towing capacity. You should expect your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times to drop .5 seconds!

YANK TRUCK THRUSTER 3200 (4.8, 5.3L only) (245mm, 3200 stall, 2.70 STR) This converter is for the truck and SUV "hot rodder". You should expect your 0-60 and 1/4 mile times to drop at least .5 seconds! The Truck Thruster 3200 will allow over 3,200 rpm stall, with only a 1,700 rpm drop between shifts. This converter has a maximum recommended towing capacity of 4,000 lbs. Should you need to tow more, please consider the Truck Thruster 2600/3000 or Truck Stealth 2400.

btw - congratulations on making it into the 13s!

Tom

Stock?? On motor I am running 14.4x on ET streets.

Towing a buddies 21' SaltMax down to FL a few months ago, I didn't notice it getting any warmer that when I drive it hard on the street/track, ~170*.
