Stole it from me. Damn you. J/K

I think it is recomended to always check your P/V clearnes in the flat to pistons. Not to sure on the LQ4. Might want to look into some 5.7 heads if it is a LQ4.

It is an LQ9, I've been contimplating putting my Ligenfelter Stage II LS1 heads, or I might keep the stock heads on it and sell the Stage II s. The only deal with the ls1 heads is the chambers have to be opened up for the bigger bore. I've never had to do tis and do not know what all it involves.

I was looking for a 3rd gen small block to put in my 69. I am looking at the LS1 and the LQ9, leaning towards the 6.0 lq9. For some reason alot of the posts claim alot more power in the ls1 than the 6.0s with similar mods, eespecially the boosted cars. Whats up with that? I would think the lq9s would make way more power. The compression is a little lower but not much and the heads are pretty much zo6 heads with bigger chambers. What would you guys suggest? I think i can get the 6.0 cheaper too. My buddy works at a collision center. I'd be running the motor na for a while but i plan on boosting it later.
