4.8L isn't maxed out at 300/300, mine was well over that with a mild cam and ported stock heads... friend of mine put down 323rwhp with a 4.8L big cam headers, bolt ons and a spot on tune... that was with stock truck intake system (filter to manifold... all stock)

Yep you are correct, fastest 1/8th mile was 8.75 , the converter did help bring my 60ft down from 2.3 to 2.0 but that was on 30.6 street tires... Hopefully i will get to test out the slicks before i hank the motor...

keep in mind every dyno puts out different numbers... Also depends how they set up the dyno too.... That is why most go by track times... But strong numbers!!

these were both on SQR's dyno... mine was with the 216/218 cam and a killer set of LS6 heads... the other one was a HUGE cam... made **** for torque low...

The heads and the headers... The exhaust system on that truck was second to none, pulled the headers and whatnot off my racecar so it was all way overkill... Spinning it to the moon didn't hurt either.

well maybe the 4.8 isn't so anemic afterall! I still have nightmares about pushing the pedal what seemed like forever and the 4.8 just making more and more noise all the while I wasn't speeding up
