Default Which cold air intake and cat back exhaust for 4.8

I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 with 4800, automatic. I wanted to ad a cold air intake and cat back exhaust. Any types or brands better than others? What kind of gains can one expect with these bolt-ons. I am currently getting 15 city and 19 highway.

Thanks,
Garson

I haven't used one, but I would look into the AFE for an intake.

For exhaust Magnaflow or Corsa IMO.

I have a k&n 77 series. Fits goods and sounds good. I had a flowmaster catback with a 40 series, just cut it off because it was to quiet plus tailpipes were rotted through, less than 2 years old. Won't buy another one.

you can build your own cold air kit for a lot less money than buying one. i have the afe filter and air box mated to my own tubing. cost less than 100 bucks and works just fine

my vote goes to a custom CAI as stated by goshawk23 and the Hooker Aerochamber cat-back.
