Default Cold Air Intake

I want to install a cold air intake on my new 04 Sierra. Does anyone have any suggestions? I see a lot of people are running the UPD intake. I had a K&N on my 97 350 and had no problems with it.

I bought a K&N/Hypertech package from truckperformance.com and im pretty much happy with it. The K&N FIPK makes a differcence and sounds cool, what I dont like is you have to clean it more often(depends on where you drive), but thats ok. I searched all the local places and they would give me a higher price $ for the K&N/Hypertech package. I checked on truckperformance.com and they had the package for much cheaper, even with the shipping charges it was much cheaper than buying locally. Good luck on your choice & purchase.

UPD are tricky to install sometimes. plus they tend to crack

i like my K&N. you don't have to clean the filter as much as you think. i thought the dirtier it gets, the better job it does filtering. correct me if i am wrong.

I ordered a Volant, got it from www.hyperformanceauto.com for $251 with free shipping. It'll be here Wednesday according to the Fed Ex tracking number. I can let you know how I like it.

Yep, I can't stand the fact that I'm running stock. I've heard alot of good things about Volant and always wanted one so I bought one. I sold the Pro Cold and that pretty much paid for the Volant so I'm not out any money, well may be $10. I'm going to hook up my home made ram-air set up to it too.
